Halloween

This year, for Halloween, we had, not one, but two Spider-Men in our house.
Graham sleeps with a Spider-Man throw blanket and pillow and he enjoys me telling him the story of Spider-Man, and let’s face it, I’m a sucker for a muscle costume, so I decided to order Graham a Spider-Man costume for Halloween.
When it arrived, Graham put it on right away and had a blast running around the house and posing as Spider-Man (2 years, 9 months, 18 days old):

Since Graham seemed to love his Spider-Man costume, I decided to keep it and order Carter a matching outfit (2 months, 12 days old):

We had a chance to test the costumes out at an evening Halloween party and a morning birthday party, so Graham was accustomed to wearing his suit when it came time to actually go trick-or-treating.
We took a few pictures and then headed out (G: 2 years, 10 months, 8 days old / C: 2 months, 28 days old):

Graham enjoyed trick-or-treating, but became quite distracted once he was given a piece of candy and wanted to open it right away, instead of going to the next house to collect more.  Once we helped him place the candy (unopened) in his basket, he would eagerly search for the next house and enjoy the process until once again being faced with a tempting piece of candy that he was not allowed to open right away:

Carter started the evening in the stroller, but quickly got sick of that and stayed in the Bjorn for the rest of the evening.  I would stay back with Carter, while Graham and Daddy would run up to each door and then Graham would come back and proudly show me what he had received:

We finally made it back home, with one slightly tired toddler and one chilly baby.  Carter warmed up on his play gym and Graham finally got to open his candy.  His first pick... sticky, sticky Swedish Fish.  Hum, we probably won’t be letting him have those again:

The rest of the Halloween season was filled with trips to the pumpkin patch, but I’ll save those stories for another post.
It is crazy to think that next year we will have two walking superheroes instead of just one!
