Play, Play, Play (oh, and some walking too)

Now that Graham can walk pretty well, all he wants to do is run around and play.
We bought Graham a plush monkey backpack with a long tail that we lovingly refer to as “the leash.”  On a family jog to the park, we thought we would test out the leash and let Graham walk for a while.  Our little dude walked a half a mile and showed no signs of slowing down.  We eventually loaded him back into the stroller so he would still have some energy when we got to the park.  Needless to say, the leash is a hit! (14 months, 16 days old):

Graham’s play activity of choice continues to be time at the parks.  He loves going down the slides, although we keep him on our laps or on his tummy after a head banging incident on the curvy slide (14 months, 16 days old):

playing with the rope on the climbing wall (14 months, 8 days old):

and climbing up the stairs and peeking through the looking glass (14 months, 16 days old):

Graham also had a fun play date at the beach.  He and his friend Kenzie sat for a while and played with the beach toys before he took off running.  He loved eating sand and playing with seaweed and he let me know it was time to go when he paused for a little nap in the sand (14 months, 19 days old):

We are ramping up the activities for our little boy who loves to play.  In April, he is signed up for a music class, gymnastics class, and swim lessons!
