Indoor/Outdoor Livin’

We have turned a new leaf in our available play space.  Our house is far from fully baby proofed, so Graham has been subjected to constant supervision except for relative freedom in his playpen.  We have been very hesitant to let Graham into the backyard because the deck is open on both sides with a big sloping drop.  With the purchase of 2 new baby gates, all of that has changed and now Graham enjoys indoor/outdoor living every day of the week.  We block off the openings on either side of the deck, open the sliding glass door, and open the walls of the playpen to allow Graham indoor access to the playpen and outdoor access to the patio, deck, and side yard.  He bounces his balls, chases rabbits, and pushes his toys with such high energy that I think he would stay out all day if we didn’t need to break for activities, food, and rest.  Besides a few splinters, indoor/outdoor livin’ has been a huge success.
Now that we have a reasonably large and baby proof space, we were able to host a PEP meeting, and I caught a few pictures of the fun (15 months, 28 days):

Gotta love Zander trying to carry ALL of the gardening tools at once!:
