Graham’s first art project – and other Growing Times fun (16 months, 2 days old)

I’m just bursting with pride! 
Graham completed his first art project today.  At Growing Times (Graham’s music, art, and play class) the teacher set up a station with little bags and fabric pens.  I got a picture of some of the other kids working on their projects:

The teacher sent out an email before class and reminded us that the project was for the kids, so we should do our best to let them use the pens themselves without our assistance.  In the past I have offered Graham pens and chalk and he has had no interest.  Today, he was a champion and he drew on the bag all by himself!  At first he scrolled back and forth but then he came into his own and found that his true artistic calling was dots:

After completing his bag, he wore it on his arm as he played with the other toys:

and proudly showed it off to his teacher:

During the outside play time, he impressed me again by finding a mini basketball hoop and making basket after basket (complete with his own rebounds). 
Wow, big boy, what a day!
