He is growing and changing every day and it is all happening so fast (too fast for his Mommy).
So, there are several fun milestones to report.
Our sweet boy has started hugging. He runs up and wraps his little arms around our legs and buries his head in our knees and waits for a head and back rub before he releases us and goes on with his activities. He will give a hug on command, out of joy and happiness, or out of shyness.
He has also started to feed himself. He is getting A LOT more picky with his eating, but I notice that if I can give him something that he can feed himself, he will eat it (even if he refuses the same food when it is served in chopped up little bites). He was all smiles when I let him use the spoon with his oatmeal and eat a banana by himself (15 months, 12 days and 27 days respectively):

Of course, no meal would be complete without the ceremonial brushing of the teeth at the end. Graham now uses an electric toothbrush and toothpaste and insists on holding the brush over half of the time (15 months, 11 days old):
We upped Graham’s activity level in April by adding in swim lessons and My Gym classes.
The jury is still out on the My Gym classes. I’m not sure if he gets anything more out of My Gym than he does from a good play session at the park, but it definitely lends itself to some cute pictures (15 months, 13 days old):
Graham just loves the bubbles:
and he had fun on the high bar, but I had to share this video where he refuses to take his eyes off the instructor the entire time he is hanging from the bar:
Swim lessons have been GREAT! Graham is learning how to reach for the edge, blow bubbles, spit out water, kick, wait and then jump from the edge, creep along the edge to shallower water, and roll onto his back. They don’t allow cameras by the pool, but I did sneak some shots from his first day including the relaxation at the end (15 months, 16 days old):
On his official 16 month birthday, he was invited to a Sedar at his buddy Zane Kneizeh’s house and wore a tie for the first time. Mommy and Daddy thought it was the cutes thing ever, but Zane wasn't quite as convinced:

Graham continues to love books and he now grabs books while saying “ba-K, ba-K” and requests that we “re” them to him. He also ‘fetched’ a book on command :)
His morning routine is really sweet. He wakes up chatting to himself and singing. Usually Daddy goes and gets him. He greets Daddy with “DaDa” squeels and then busily plays in our room until it is time for breakfast. I had to laugh when he tried to pick up Daddy’s briefcase and flopped on the floor because it proved to be too heavy for him. When I mention breakfast, Graham races to the kitchen, ‘telling’ me that he knows what is coming next.
Graham continues to spend a lot of time at the park and he had a big success, climbing all the way to the top of the rock wall! (15 months, 11 days old):
Our heavy breathing/snoring boy has continued to worry us, so we went to an ENT doctor and Graham was very brave as the doc inserted a probe down his nose to check for an anatomical reasons for his heavy breathing. Long story short, the ENT doctor found nothing to be concerned about, so Graham just has an allergy doctor appointment to ‘pass’ and then he will officially be deemed completely healthy and normal.
Graham continues to do more and more talking. To our question/answer game, he has added what a snake says, what an owl says, what a cat says, and what comes after 1. He says “no, no” whenever he touches something he knows he is not supposed to touch and he says “oh no” when he drops something important to him. He also points to himself and says “me” which is just the cutest thing ever to watch.
He loves his baths with Daddy and he says “bath” every time he passes the bathroom door. I got a video of it and if you want to watch to the end, I also captured Graham’s ‘poo poo’ dance. Graham brasses himself against something and sticks out his little bum every time he does his business. He probably won’t appreciate that I shared a video, but I couldn’t help myself (15 months, 21 days old):
Our sweet boy took a tissue and pretended to blow his nose (although he didn’t even come close to actually doing it) and his bangs continue to grow and grow in the front (although Mommy refuses to give him his first haircut) while he has developed a little curl in the back.
When Graham is ready to sleep, he does, even with an arm sticking out of the crib (15 months, 21 days):
Graham loves to play with balls (especially when he can bang them against something and yell “boom”), thinks “boo, boo” is a funny word and cracks up every time Mommy says it, is ticklish on his feet, dances when we sing, ask him to stomp his feet, or play on a trampoline, and thinks peek-a-boo (or just boo) is the best game ever!
Graham knows where his head, tongue, ears, and tummy are and both he and his finger know where his nose is.
He has started to notice more and more around him. When he sees a truck go by, he yells "beep, beep" and on a recent trip to the zoo, he loved looking at the animals (15 months, 28 days old):
Mommy attached a lot of extra straps to get Graham to wear his normal sunhat, but he has a blast taking Mommy’s baseball cap and trying to put it on so he can be just like Mommy (16 months, 1 day old):
Great 16 months Graham! Keep ‘em coming.
