We had a wonderful long weekend in Palm Springs at Nick’s Aunt Jan’s vacation home. Graham had a great car ride and we arrived with enough time to enjoy the pool before the sun went down:
After the pool fun, Jan treated Nick and me to an evening of babysitting so we could go out for a romantic dinner. We arrived home to find Jan, Graham, and doggie Max having a grand time. Graham didn’t seem to have missed us at all:
Jan returned home and Nick, Graham, and I spent the next day (after a rough night) relaxing, sleeping, and visiting some shops. Graham took a long afternoon nap by the pool, under the misters:
Graham also enjoyed playtime on one of Jan’s blankets with an especially interesting texture:
Here Graham is showing off Mommy’s clever technique for keeping him clean during the solid food feedings. We wonder… is he dressed to eat or go to the barber shop???:
On the way home, Nick indulged me by stopping at The Old Spaghetti Factory for lunch. Although now I would classify the food as an acquired taste, it brings back wonderful memories from my teenage years. I couldn’t help taking a few pictures of Graham’s first time at Old Spaghetti Factory:
We were back on the road after our lunch stop and made it home in record time. It was a perfect little getaway (with a baby in tow) and we are excited to build more of those into our weekends.
