Graham celebrates Chanukah (11 months, 9 days old)

The holidays are a little muddled in the Millington household.  Graham celebrates Chanukah with the Taub family over Thanksgiving.  With Christmas 2 days after his birthday; we have already fallen into the terrible habit of celebrating those events together.  We started a tradition of throwing Graham a birthday party in January.  So, as you can see, we are still trying to figure out how those holiday months will look each year, but this year, Chanukah fell in the beginning of December and we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to give the little guy some presents and his first latke!
Last year we had a chair with a Chanukah bib at our table, eagerly waiting for Graham’s arrival at any moment.  This year, it was such a treat to have our little boy at the table with us wearing that same bib:

We lit the Chanukah candles and introduced Graham to the joys of latkes:

but his favorite part was trying to catch the spinning dreidel:

We really wanted him to enjoy ‘opening’ his presents so we opted against traditional wrapping and went for open boxes tied with string and paper bags stapled shut.  He had a ball trying to figure out how to get out the presents:

Our wrapping technique paid off.  Success!:

Happy Chanukah sweet boy!
