He has been working up to the big event for quite some time, but his efforts really ramped up in the last few days. After weeks of 'cruising' around the walls of his playpen, he began to lunge across the corners with one midway step. We also noticed that he would sometimes forget to hold the edge of his playpen and he was able to stand for a few moments with his hands in the air.
He made a big leap forward in his progress when he began walking behind his dinosaur push toy (11 months, 5 days old):
and then he began holding our hands and walking forward.
We went to his friend Kenzie's birthday party today. Graham practiced his walking-while-holding-our-hands skill and spent a lot of time watching his buddy Desi, who is a super walking baby.
Nick took Graham home from the party and after a short nap, Graham officially became a walker.
We are just bursting with pride for our little
Hooray for Graham! : )
