Bath Baby!

Carter has been loving his baths, but it wasn’t always that way.
Before his umbilical cord stump fell off, we had to give him sponge baths and these pictures from one of his first baths, pretty much tell the story.  He wasn’t happy before, during, or after, but did calm down nicely and began to appreciate his nice clean skin, once he was wrapped up and warm again (5 days old):

Once we were able to submerge Carter’s body in water, it became a different story.  He is usually a little fussy while we are getting him undressed for the bath, but once he is in the warm water, he is very calm and sits quietly, enjoying himself while he gets cleaned from head to toe.  He does really well when we pour water over his head and spends most of the bath staring wide-eyed into the mirror or our faces (27 days old):

On September 1st, Carter volunteered to be the “Bath Baby” at the PEP Baby Basics Class.  Carter and I gave a bath demonstration in front of around 20 couples (about a month away from becoming first time parents).  I’m told, he was the highlight of the class :)
