Touch-A-Truck (20 months, 26 days old)

Today was the big PEP fundraiser that we (as mamas volunteering for PEP) have been working on for months, and it turned out to be a huge success and tons of fun!
The basic premise of the Touch-A-Truck event was to get a bunch of trucks in one place and allow kids to get up close and touch them. 
I was absolutely amazed at the awesome vehicles that were at the event.  Just to give you an idea, there was a dump truck, tractor, vintage fire truck, garbage truck, city bus, trolley, camper, big rig, police car, ambulance, and many, many others!  Not to mention the wash-a-truck station, fire truck bounce house, and toy trucks with race track mats area! 
Graham is absolutely obsessed with the city bus (which he identifies as a “big bus” every time it passes), garbage trucks, and “big trucks” that go “honk” so I thought this event would be right up his alley. 
When we first arrived he went running around the parking lot full of trucks saying “wow!”  He didn’t end up enjoying climbing into most of the trucks, but he looked out of the bus window in awe at the rest of the trucks and did have some fun making a big rig honk:

Graham was super excited when he saw and was able to correctly identify a motorcycle (“mo-nana” to him) but got a little scared when we let him ride on it:

Touch-A-Truck wasn’t just fun for Graham.  Daddy had a good time checking out the engines on some of those monster trucks:

Graham found a toy dump truck at the wash-a-truck station and spent about 20 minutes pushing it around the parking lot then had a brief encounter with a smaller plastic truck in the dirt before settling in for some serious play time at the small toy trucks play area:

Graham and Daddy headed home for Graham’s lunch, bath, and nap, while I stayed to man the bounce house for the second half of the event and volunteer with the cleanup crew:

The event ended a few hours ago and we are already looking forward to next year!
