Doing a Little More Growing Up

Graham is just about ready to transition into his big boy car seat (we have an appointment to have the new car seat installed by the highway patrol on August 23rd), so we have been practicing and getting ready with some other ‘big boy’ activities.

We let Graham ride in the front of a shopping cart for the first.  Boy, did he have fun.  I’m now looking for an excuse to go to the grocery store just so he can have another ride (7 months, 25 days old):

Graham also graduated to traveling in his Bob Stroller without any additional infant head support.  He now uses the infant car seat adapter bar as a footrest (7 months, 25 days old):

Graham was also able to sit in a ‘big boy’ highchair at a restaurant.  On Grandma Millington’s last day of her visit, she took us out to Stella Mare’s and after posing for pictures in his stroller, Graham had a blast joining the adults at the table.  His grabbing radius is quite extensive so everything needs to be cleared from in front of him.  He likes playing with his toys and playing hand games with other people at the table (7 months, 20 days old):

Graham is now crawling around at top speed and has started to pull himself up on everything in sight, so we decided to lower his crib to the bottom setting (7 months, 24 days old):

Graham was crawling around his nursery while we were lowering the crib and after pulling himself up on the end of the crib to check out the springs, he bonked his head on one of the feet of the crib and got his first ‘lasting’ bruise :(  It is still around almost four days later.  Here he is showing off his battle wound, on his forehead above his right eye (7 months, 25 days old):

but, it hasn’t stopped him from continuing to explore and challenge himself.  With his bouncer (7 months, 25days old), then with his stroller (7 months, 27 days old):

  1. It's amazing how they just all of a sudden reach the size/age to be in the big kid stuff; car seat, high chair, cart, etc. Looks like you are continuing to have lots of fun!
