8 Months Old!

Graham turned eight month old today, which meant that today was the day we had our appointment with the highway patrol to have his big boy car seat installed. 
As I was loading Graham up for the last time in his infant car seat, I was feeling pretty sad that my baby was not a baby anymore:

When we arrived at our appointment, the police officer unloaded our new car seat and made sure Graham fit in it securely.  At first Graham didn’t know what to make of it, but pretty soon, he was exploring his new seat and feeling pretty good:

After the appointment, we celebrated another 8 month milestone with Graham’s first ‘meat’ meal.  He had a vegetable turkey dinner.  He was licking his lips and loved it!:

Unfortunately, in the 15 minutes between the end of his meal and our arrival home, Graham had a major blowout diaper.  So… the brand new car seat that had just been professionally installed in the car, came right out of the car and into the house to be washed.  Sigh.

Before heading off to bed as a big 8 month old, I wanted to take a few pictures of Graham’s latest Dennis-the-Menace hairstyle.  I found it VERY hard to capture on film, but if you look carefully, you can see a tuft of hair at the back of Graham’s head sticking straight out.  His hair is at a length where it always looks like this now and we think it is the cutest thing ever.  We are very proud of our mischievous little boy:
