It is hard growing up (G: 3 years, 10 months, 29 days old / C: 15 months, 18 days old)

It has been 'time' for a long time to move Carter out of his infant car seat into a big boy car seat. Instead of buying another car seat like Graham is using (that is good up to 55 pounds) we decided to move Carter into Graham's car seat and upgrade Graham to the car seat/booster convertible seat that will last him for the rest of his time in any type of car seat, up to 90 pounds!

Graham is excellent with transitions, so it never occurred to me that Graham might have an issue with giving up his car seat (and switching which side of the car he sits on). 

Well...

When I arrived at school to pick Graham up, I made a big deal about the exciting new seat he would discover in the car. 

First, there were Graham's screams as he tried to pull Carter out of his old seat:

Next, the cries as he was getting strapped in:

Finally, the horror and struggles to get out, as we started to drive away:

All while Carter seemed quite happy with the new arrangement:

Poor Graham!  It is not easy growing up sometimes. He quickly stopped crying but repeatedly told me that he really didn't like his new booster seat and wanted his old seat back. 

Things started looking up when we visited our carpenter's shop and Graham even managed two thumbs up for our final (in progress) built-in:

When Daddy got home, Graham told Daddy all about his new car seat (which was a good sign), but today is a new day and we shall see how it goes...

I'll end with a cute antic from this same sweet boy. 

Mommy was at a meeting and Daddy was having dinner alone with the boys. When Graham finished his main course, he said to Daddy, "talk to me about my dessert options."
