We started the day with a classic favorite, a walk along the Ellwood bluffs.
Graham did not want me to take a picture of him in the adult hat, but I did it anyway:
Daddy and Carter were much more cooperative with their first picture:
Once Graham removed the hat, spirits were high and we were off on a beautiful walk:
We made it all the way to the butterfly preserve and back (even though there were no butterflies). Graham was a happy, dusty, mess, and Carter was a relaxed, sleeper:
After the long walk, we piled into the car and headed to Padaro Beach Grill for lunch. In case I have not blogged about it in the past, Padaro Beach Grill is basically family heaven. It is completely enclosed with an enormous sandpit filled with toys and surrounded by picnic tables. Casual food (along with beer and wine), so the parents relax while the kids play. And, to top it all off, there is a train that goes by every 45 minutes or so, which absolutely delights Graham.
When we got there...
Graham relaxing:
and Carter relaxing:
There it is, the train:
After Carter finished his bottle and Graham finished his enormous quesadilla, the boys played for a while together:
Then Carter got back to his mischievous ways and stated climbing on a beach chair:
Graham joined in for some beach chair lounging:
When it was finally time to leave, lucky Graham made friends with a birthday party group and left with a party favor:

adorable!
