Graham’s first Halloween!

Graham celebrated Halloween over the course of several weeks.  Nick and I were thrilled because we were going to be away during the actual night of Halloween, but we still got several opportunities to see our little boy get dressed up and celebrate.

It all started on October 23rd.  We had a day of celebration for Graham’s 10 month birthday.  When he woke up, Mommy and Daddy gave him his first truck:

then we bundled him up in his first warm vest and went for a jog:

then we got him dressed in his orange outfit and headed to the pumpkin patch.

We started off in the cornstalk maze.  Nick and I were both impressed by just how hard it was to find the way out.  Graham enjoyed exploring and all the new textures:

When we finally made it out of the maze, we found ourselves in a field of large pumpkins where Graham practiced standing:

We took a family photo on the hay bale ride:

and couldn’t leave without Graham picking out his very own pumpkin:

The next day, we dressed Graham up in his official Halloween costume and took him to the annual PEP Halloween Party.  Graham got a chance to play and hang out with some of his friends while Mommy volunteered at the raffle booth (10 months, 1 day old):

On Tuesday, October 26th, Graham donned his dog coat for the Infant Times music class Halloween celebration (10 months, 3 days old):

some of his buddies had great costumes:

by the end, Graham got hot and took off his coat:

We left the next day for Hong Kong, but knew that Graham would get one more chance to wear his chicken costume when my parents took him to a Halloween party on the actual day.

Phew, who knew that Halloween could be so fun and busy without candy or trick-or-treating!
